ロサンゼルス旅行記１月１６日（月）その６
１５日に乗ったスーパーシャトルが問屋街（名古屋の大須に似た感じ）みたいなところを通ったので、そこに行きたいとホテルの人に話しました。そしたら、たぶん7th stというので、ちょっと寄り道することにしたのです。
が、どうやらちょっと違ったみたいです。とても綺麗な通りで沢山の人で賑わっていました。私が行きたかったのは、もっと汚い通りでした。しばらく歩いていると、突然黒人が私の方を見て「チーズ」と言ってきました。言われたので写真を撮ったら、何を撮っているのとか私の横に並んで質問してきました。
彼氏からの、話しかけられてついていったら命はないと思っておいた方がいいという情報を思い出し、何とかこの場を去らなければと焦りました。仕方ないので、現代美術館の方に行くことにしました。私が「こっちに行く」と言ったら、黒人は手を振りました。後ろから着いてくる気配もなく、実は悪い人ではなく、警戒しすぎたかもと少し後悔しました。
でも、英語がほとんど理解できず話せない私は、やっぱり知らない海外を軽はずみに考えてはいけないと思いました。
