ロサンゼルス旅行記 １月１８日（水）その２
人生の過渡期が来た。いろんなことがグルグルしてる。
ロサンゼルス旅行記 １月１８日（水）その２
ニューオータニからタクシーに乗った。運転手は日本人（あきらさん）だったので、日本語が通じた。助かった。
「トーランスのマリオットまで」と言ったのだけど、途中あきらさんがトーランスにマリオットが２つあることを指摘してくれて、本当に感謝感謝。チップも大幅割り増しであげました。（ちょうどいい金額がなかったからなんだけど）
ホテルについて、エレベーターを探してウロウロした。日本みたいに親切にエレベーターはこっちといった表示がないのだ。仕方ないので、フロントでエレベーターを探していることを伝えた。しかし、これがなかなか伝わらない。私のエレベーターの発音が相当悪かったのだ。ものすごいカタカナ発音だったので・・・何度か繰り返したら分かってくれて、教えてくれた。
彼から、部屋のキーを預かっていたため、勝手に開けて部屋に入った。あまり睡眠が取れていなかったため、すぐ寝てしまった。
彼が、私がいるかホテルに確かめに来た。タイ料理屋に会社の人と行くということだった。もちろん、私もついて行くことにした。
彼の会社の人（日本人の女性とドイツ人の女性）とタイ料理屋に行った。もちろん、英語での会話。速くてわかんねーー。
でも、アメリカに２～３年住めば、分かるようになるのかな・・・
